My Big List of Goals I’m Going to Accomplish in 2022 Week 15 of 52
Posted by admin on
Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:
Remodel The Kitchen
I’m currently in love with the Ryttenberg (Clear) Light Fixture by Old Brick Lighting. Simple, a unique classic design and clean lines, what more could I ask for? I love it!
Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove {$12,137.85 of $22,000 earned so far}
The AGA has been ordered {we put 1/2 down when we placed the order} and it should be here later this summer. So far I have about 55% of the stove paid for and at this rate if I continue to hook like a mad woman, I should have the AGA paid for by the time it gets here.
Fill the Canning Cupboard
The canning cupboard is sitting in the family room right now {because the dining room floors are still curing, but so far this year I have canned:
Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.
With the house a total mess, I think I’ll just have to wait until things calm down again because I don’t even know where my boxes of driftwood is now.
Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.
Because we’ve been using the Crock Pot a lot lately, potatoes and carrots seem to be all we’re eating. I can’t wait to get the stove back in the kitchen!
Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.
All crafting {other than doing a little hooking in the evenings} has been put on hold as the HH has been working on refinishing our floors.
The craft room, which is normally stuffed to the gills with wool, is also currently storing 2 arm chairs, 4 dining chairs, a bench, a sideboard, a console, 2 giant rugs and all sorts of odds and ends so I can barely move around it. Getting anything done in there, much less any other part of the house is pretty much impossible right now.
Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup
The well has run dry. Now we just have to wait for The Girl to come for a visit so we can boil down the sap.
Make a Quilt Top
I made zero progress on my quilt top this past week. Shocking, I know.
Be More Intentional With My Time
Ha Ha Ha. I wasted so much time on the internet this past week, it’s not even funny. But I did find these adorable hand carved acorn wall hangers.
1 Craft / Blog Free Day So far I’m 10 for 15 this year.
Having a major project to work on helps.
Keep My Husband Busy
The HH is finally done sanding and sealing the floors on the kitchen side of the house and so now we’re just waiting for the floors to cure before we can move everything back over to that side.
After we do that, we’ll start the process all over again {moving bedroom and family room furniture over into the craft room and dining room} and then the HH will start sanding the floors on the other side.
I figure by the end of April, the floors will be totally done and then it will just be a waiting game for appliances, cabinets and some electrical work in the kitchen.
The HH’s Honey Do List {so far} for 2022
- Take over cooking {I’ll still do the baking and canning}
- Cut down the cluster of trees in the backyard

My List of Garden Projects For This Year I want to Accomplish
The asparagus, rhubarb and raspberry canes I ordered over the winter have finally arrived {although 1/2 of the rhubarb plants were ridiculously small} so I’ll work on getting those in the ground asap.
Now all that’s left to procure is a few blueberry bushes, a couple of pear trees and little garden soil to help fill in the area where I plan to plant the raspberry canes, blueberry bushes and pear trees.
Also, once I can use the kitchen again {in a few days} I’ll be starting my tomato seeds under the grow lights.
- Map out this year’s garden by April 1st – done
- Plant apple or pear trees
- Plant raspberry and blueberry bushes – raspberry canes arrived
- Plant asparagus and rhubarb – arrived
- Grow 500 pounds of food
- Expand the lasagna garden
- Finish clearing the front of the property
- Get some garden pots for the front an back patio/porches

We took Lucy on an adventure walk {the beach, her favorite} and while we didn’t find any bottles of Fireball there {thank goodness} Mrs. HB found some. HA HA HA.
Visit 12 Towns in Maine That I Haven’t Been to Before
So far we have visited the town of Hope, Maine and checked out the General Store there.
How about YOU? How did you do with working towards your goals for 2022?
