Here’s what you missed last week from my small corner of the crochet world…
The Latest…
This past week was spent in appointments. A doctor appointment, a mammogram, getting an ultra-sound done, and getting blood work. The blood pressure problem I mentioned last week; at it’s highest was 198. Yeah, not good. The doctor is confused over why it shot up almost 60 points from just four months earlier. The ideas he put forth don’t sound good and test results are needed to make a diagnosis.
And now as I write this post for publishing this coming Tuesday, we are preparing for an emergency trip. Hubby’s mom might not last through the weekend as she’s now on an IV drip and receiving morphine for the cancer. This may be the last time we see her. It’s with a sad note we say good bye but knew this day was coming. But it never prepares you for it when it does arrive.

This Week’s Menu Plans:
If you’ve followed the blog much, you’ll notice I publish my upcoming menu plans for each week. Why? Actually this is to keep me on the up and up. I tend to get busy and before I know it, I’m out of steam and if I don’t have something planned, it’s the same old question that plagues many households at around 6:00 in the evening with; “What’s for dinner?” “I don’t know, what sounds good…” until eventually you’re ordering pizza or running through the drive thru at McD’s. Here are my menu plans:
I actually won’t be posting a menu plan this week simply because we’re not sure what this coming week will bring. But I did post a devotional about “The Waiting Room” if you’d like to read it.

Marley sheds, and sheds, and sheds. Seriously, he sheds more fur than two of our cavalier spaniels did with their long fur. Maybe it’s because he has short hair, but I need help and this looks like it just might be what I need. What do you think?
